As a RP&AP manager, you will be supporting a safe and secure environment in our retail store locations. In this role, you will be consulting with regional leaders to build capability of their teams and coaches through incident management, ensuring a focus on partner (employee) care. Providing subject matter expertise, advising on enterprise programs, and identifying effective, thoughtful safety and security solutions. Anticipating and proactively preparing for events that may impact safety of our partners (employees) and customers. As well as analyzing market trends and consulting with cross-functional stakeholders, inside and outside of Starbucks, including law enforcement and other civic and community agencies.
As a RP&AP manager, you will:
- Demonstrate a relentless focus on partner (employee) care and safety.
- Provide recommendations to prevent, deter or respond to disruptive behavior or criminal activity in our retail store locations.
- Calmly respond to incidents and unanticipated events with an appropriate sense of urgency.
- Provide real-time support and engage cross-functional teams, such as Partner Resources, Store Development, Global Security & Resilience, Global Communications, and the Threat Assessment Board (TAB).
- Build leader capability to effectively respond to safety and security incidents and concerns.
- Anticipate events with potential to have safety impacts on partners (employees) and customers.
- Make recommendations and consult on preparedness plans.
- Execute video evidence retrieval as necessary, and act as a liaison to law enforcement for investigation support.
- Proactively create market strategies in partnership with regional leaders focused on building effective civic and law enforcement relationships. Foster collaboration to enable welcoming and safe environments in our retail store locations.
- Network with industry and peer organizations.
- Analyze trends and leverage safety and security expertise to propose scalable or custom solutions in partnership with cross-functional teams and regional leaders.
- Provide guidance and coach for successful implementation of key initiatives and enterprise programs.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bilingual French and English; written and spoken.
- Retail, restaurant manufacturing or other general management experience (3 years).
- Able to travel within the region of Quebec and strategically role model and coach with confidence in the retail store environment.
- Role model personal development through self-awareness, reflection, and feedback from others.
- Ability to assemble and file reports with police, courts, and other government entities.
- Comfortable setting priorities, meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Able to manage confidential and sensitive information effectively.
- Comfortable with public speaking, preparing, and presenting information across a variety of audiences, and learning on the spot.
- Ability to analyze profit and loss statements.
We’d love to hear from people with:
- Experience in law enforcement, public or private sector security, regional consultation, or equivalent (5 years).
- Security, crisis, or incident management consulting and trend analysis (3 years).
- Multi-department management, regional consultation, or equivalent experience (2 years).
