To all members of Manitoba Justice,
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Todd Clarke as the new Assistant Deputy Minister – Correctional Services Division, and Michael Koppang as the new Assistant Deputy Minister – Public Safety Division.
Todd has over 20 years of experience working across the Justice system in Alberta and Manitoba including front line service delivery in the areas of crime prevention, restorative justice, probation services, custody corrections and public safety, which includes over 11 years of progressive executive management experience with the Government of Manitoba. Todd will commence his role effective immediately and will also oversee the Public Safety Division, until Michael joins us.
Michael has over 23 years of experience working with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in various roles as an investigator, legal representative and leader. He has over 10 years experience working as a military lawyer and experience working on Justice Reform initiatives in both British Columbia and Manitoba. Michael with be joining Manitoba Justice in his role of ADM – Public Safety Division effective September 15, 2021.
Todd and Michael will represent their respective Divisions on the Department’s Executive Management Committee. I am tremendously excited about the expertise, vision and energy Todd and Mike bring to Manitoba Justice and our leadership team.
